Abandoned and unwanted animals are cared for in our local no-kill shelter. A key part of this program is spay/neuter operations.
Each year SPCHS supports over 500 spay/neuter operations of cats and dogs. Animals adopted from the shelter are also spay/neutered. A voucher program helps low-income families and those managing feral cats with reduced-cost spay/neuters.
All of these programs help reduce unwanted animal populations.
