Educational grants will be considered in two general areas of interest.
One area focuses on nursing or premedical students enrolled in four-year programs for years two through four. Eligible candidates must have graduated from a south Pacific County high school, GED program or accredited home school program.
The second area provides funds for medical professionals seeking training in palliative care through a recognized continuing education program. Eligible medical professionals include nurses, physicians, hospital staff, medical social workers. Applicants must reside or work in south Pacific County.
All monies granted are paid to the institutions for tuition or program registration fees. No funds are paid directly to recipients.
Completed applications for funds requested by students in nursing or premedical programs must be postmarked between February 1 and May 31 of each year prior to the fall term for which funds are requested. Completed applications for continuing education programs/workshops must be received no later that two months prior to the scheduled commencement date of said program/workshop.
